Don't Forget The Farmer's Market

When we travel to a new place, we love to explore. We try to travel the back roads and see things that are not on the regular tourist agenda. We try to get some of the local flavor. One of the ways to do this is to go to the local farmer's market. We have found that just about every city has at least one.

How To Love Your Next Road Trip

Remember when you were in your 20's or even in your 30's? For some of you it might not be that big of a stretch. Anyway, remember when you and your friends were sitting around doing next to nothing (you were probably supposed to be doing something--like studying--but you weren’t) and one of your friends said, “Hey, such and such a band is playing in San Fran this weekend.” You all looked at each other and began to grin. Suddenly you would leap into action. You’d throw a change of clothes in a bag; you would all pile in someone’s junker and off you’d go. No one cared that it was a 10-hour drive if you didn’t stop. You would drive like those possessed. You would barely stop to switch drivers and get fuel.  In fact, it was always a contest for bragging rights to be able to say your group was able to make the trip in under the conventionally prescribed time.   Ahhh, the good ol’ days.
